Our Vision

We are revitalizing the village. On a path less traveled, we are re-learning the essence of communal living and building networks of support that foster both personal and collective growth. Our commitment is to reclaim joy and wonder for all ages.

Through homeschool drop-off programs, community events, and conscious parenting circles, we are creating a vibrant, supportive environment where parents and children alike benefit from shared wisdom and collective care.

We embrace learning that harmonizes with the earth—permaculture, foraging, natural building, and the study of plants, animals, and earth's patterns. Our village is a sanctuary for holistic growth and expression, where every individual is valued and encouraged to contribute to a thriving, interconnected community.

Our Core Practices

Gratitude

Cultivating a daily appreciation practice can profoundly impact how we experience life and connect with others. By focusing on the positive aspects of nature and life, we shift our mindset from one of scarcity or negativity to one of abundance.

When we start our day with an intentional focus on what we're grateful for, we set a positive tone that influences how we respond to challenges and interact with others. This practice can help us remain more grounded, resilient, and compassionate, fostering a more supportive and harmonious environment both for ourselves and those around us.

Sit Spot

This practice entails selecting a peaceful, secluded spot in nature where you can sit quietly. The goal is to immerse yourself in the surroundings, heighten your senses, develop mindfulness, and observe wildlife. It may also involve natural journaling to capture your observations and reflections.

Joy

Embracing a child-led, interest-based model can really ignite a child's curiosity and motivation. By following their natural interests, you make learning more engaging and relevant to their personal experiences. It allows children to take ownership of their education and can lead to deeper understanding and retention of knowledge.

Gathering in Circle

We begin and close our day in circle with story telling, discussion, and reflections. One core practice is each child shares a “rose-bud-thorn”. Rose is our favorite part of the day. Bud is something we want to learn and explore more. Thorn is something that was challenging.

This provides children with an opportunity to express their experiences, a space where they feel respected, and the chance to both give and receive empathy.
